ISLAMABAD:

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Director-General Rawalpindi on Saturday inaugurated Pakistan's first AI-driven investigation system within NAB, developed in collaboration with NUST University. The initiative aims to transform the quality, transparency, and efficiency of investigations.

NAB DG Waqar Ahmed Chauhan proudly stated that NAB is the first institution in Pakistan to adopt this state-of-the-art AI technology. He emphasised that this pioneering step places NAB at the forefront of modernising investigative practices in the country. By embracing AI, the Bureau seeks to establish a new benchmark for efficiency and transparency in tackling corruption cases.

Highlighting the significance of the development, the DG said that the integration of AI has equipped NAB with powerful tools to enhance evidence analysis, streamline case management, and accelerate the pace of investigations.

The system, designed to provide investigators with data-driven insights, is expected to significantly improve both the accuracy and speed of inquiries.

He further noted that the use of AI would strengthen the prosecution process by ensuring more reliable and credible evidence, thereby leading to a higher rate of successful convictions.
