After more than eight years in beta and over a decade in development, Escape from Tarkov is finally getting a full release. Developer Battlestate Games has confirmed that version 1.0 will launch on November 15, 2025, marking a major milestone for the popular extraction shooter.

The announcement came alongside patch notes for update 0.16.9.0, described as an "interim milestone" ahead of the full release. The patch introduces a range of gameplay improvements and optimisations as the studio focuses on polishing the final version.

One of the key updates is a new one-way synchronisation system between EFT: Arena and the EFT PvE Zone. Progress made in Arena will carry over into PvE, but not vice versa. This sync includes trader access (specifically the trader “Ref”), transferable currency, Tactical Clothing sets, Battle Pass rewards, and more.

Battlestate also confirmed improvements to enemy AI behavior and in-game audio systems, aimed at enhancing immersion and tactical depth.

With 1.0 on the horizon, Escape from Tarkov is nearing the finish line of its long development journey, bringing it closer to the vision that’s been in the works since 2012.
