Disney+ has added Dafne Keen and Saara Chaudry to the cast of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3, Variety has confirmed. The two actresses will appear in recurring roles as Artemis and Zoë Nightshade, respectively, as the hit fantasy series continues adapting Rick Riordan’s best-selling book saga.
Keen will portray Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt and the moon, while Chaudry will play Zoë Nightshade, Artemis’s loyal lieutenant and a prominent member of her band of immortal Hunters.
According to the official character descriptions, Artemis is a regal and honorable figure who shuns the politics of Olympus in favor of the wilderness, making her somewhat disconnected from mortal life. Zoë Nightshade, a warrior who has served Artemis for over 2,000 years, is described as a fiercely loyal and serious figure who plays a key role in the story’s central quest.
Keen is no stranger to Disney properties. She made her breakthrough as X-23 in Logan and recently reprised the role in Deadpool and Wolverine, officially entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She also stars in the Disney+ Star Wars series The Acolyte. Chaudry has previously appeared in Disney+ productions like The Muppets Mayhem and The Mysterious Benedict Society.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians was renewed for a third season before Season 2 has even premiered. Production is currently underway in Vancouver. Season 2 is set to debut December 10, 2025, and will adapt The Sea of Monsters, the second novel in Riordan’s series. The storyline will follow Percy as he ventures into the Sea of Monsters to save Grover and retrieve the Golden Fleece to protect Camp Half-Blood.
New Season 3 cast members also include Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie, who will play Nico di Angelo and Bianca. Season 2 stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, and others.
