Jack White has responded to the White House after being publicly criticized by its communications director, following his initial comments on the new Oval Office design.

The dispute began when White shared his reaction to President Donald Trump’s redesigned Oval Office, comparing its look to a “professional wrestler’s dressing room.”

The comment drew attention on social media and was quickly picked up by news outlets. Shortly afterward, the White House communications director Steven Cheung, in a statement reported by The Daily Beast, dismissed White as a “washed-up, has-been loser,” suggesting the musician’s opinion carried little weight.

White addressed the remark in a follow-up Instagram post. In his statement, he called Trump a “danger to the entire world” and accused him of “masquerading as a human being.”

He also cited what he described as repeated business failures and exploitation of supporters as evidence of unfit leadership.

In a pointed close, White said he would use the insult as his “tombstone engraving,” framing it as a lasting response to the administration’s attack.

His words spread quickly online, with many reposts and coverage across entertainment and political media outlets.
