Tramell Tillman joins Tom Holland, Zendaya, and more in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day, set for 2026 release.

Emmy-nominated actor Tramell Tillman is officially joining the Marvel universe. Variety has confirmed that Tillman will star in Sony and Marvel’s upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

While details about Tillman’s character remain under wraps, he will join Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Zendaya as M.J. Jones-Watson, and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds. The star-studded cast also includes Jon Bernthal reprising his role as the Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, and new additions Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas in undisclosed roles. Directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton, the fourth installment of the Holland-led Spider-Man franchise is scheduled for theatrical release on July 31, 2026.

Tillman is best known for his breakout role as Seth Milchick in Apple TV+’s critically acclaimed series Severance, which earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. He recently appeared alongside Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. His upcoming projects include Amazon/MGM’s Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother and Lena Dunham’s Netflix feature Good Sex.

Beyond television and film, Tillman has an extensive theater background, having starred in Broadway productions such as The Great Society and Good Night, Oscar. He is also a longtime member of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Earlier this month, he made headlines as the first openly gay Black man nominated in his Emmy category, a milestone he described as his “own form of revolution.”

Marvel and Sony have not commented further on Tillman’s role, but his casting adds even more anticipation to Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
