In a bizarre theft, unidentified criminals stole surveillance cameras, memory cards, and a UPS installed under the Safe City Project in Rawalpindi.

Police have registered a case at Pirwadhai Police Station against unknown suspects. According to a complaint filed by project staffer Talha Afzal, two cameras installed near Sheikh Rashid Bridge in Pirwadhai were stolen along with their UPS and two memory cards.

The stolen equipment is valued at around Rs260,000. Police records note that the stolen devices include two Safe City cameras — GS2 and GS3 — along with a UPS worth Rs90,000.
