Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was officially revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, confirming a near-future setting and the return of campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies modes. Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, the game will be released on November 14 2025.
The storyline is set in 2035, taking place ten years after the events of Black Ops 2 and thirty years before Black Ops 3. Players will follow David Mason and his team as they confront a manipulative enemy using psychological warfare and advanced technology.
The campaign supports solo play or co-op for up to four players, marking the first co-operative campaign since Black Ops 3. A new Power Journey feature will allow character upgrades, while an Endgame mode unlocks after completion, offering open exploration and PvE challenges.
Confirmed cast members include Milo Ventimiglia as David Mason, Kiernan Shipka as Emma Kagan, Michael Rooker reprising his role as Mike Harper, and John Eric Bentley as Eric Samuels.
At launch, Black Ops 7 will feature 16 multiplayer maps, including 13 new designs and three remasters from Black Ops 2 — Hijacked, Estate, and Raid. Two large-scale 20v20 maps, Mission Edge and Mission Tide, will also be available. A total of 30 weapons will be accessible, with Weapon Prestige returning to allow additional progression.
Gameplay adjustments include an evolution of the Omnimovement system, introducing wall jumps, combat rolls, and new mounting mechanics. Tactical Sprint will no longer be a default ability but can be equipped through a Perk.
The Zombies mode will bring back round-based gameplay, the largest map in the series so far, smaller Survival maps, and the return of Dead Ops Arcade.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from November 14 onwards.
