Sana gets PML-N ticket for Senate

The PML-N has decided to nominate the adviser to the PM on political affairs, Rana Sanaullah Khan, as a senator. Punjab's Senior Minister and PML-N Information Secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb announced the party's decision in a statement posted on social media platform X—formerly Twitter.

In her message, she said that PML-N President Nawaz Sharif has issued a Senate ticket to Rana Sanaullah Khan for a general seat from the Punjab Assembly. She further stated that the election on the seat, vacated due to the disqualification of PTI's Ejaz Chaudhry, will be held on September 9. Rana Sana is regarded as close to former prime minister Nawaz.
