BTS star V, also known as Kim Taehyung, will take the field at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on August 25 to throw the ceremonial first pitch at a Major League Baseball game.

The announcement has sparked excitement across the globe and led to a sharp rise in ticket sales.

The Los Angeles Dodgers confirmed the news on August 18 through their official social media accounts.

Sharing a photo of the ‘Slow Dancing’ singer, they wrote, “ARMY, are you ready? V will be at Dodger Stadium on 8/25 to throw out the ceremonial first pitch!” The post also included a Korean message reading, “V has been chosen as the Dodgers’ ceremonial pitcher.”

This milestone places V alongside international stars such as Justin Bieber, Tom Cruise, Snoop Dogg, and the Kardashians, who have all previously taken part in the Dodgers’ ceremonial first pitch tradition. Fans quickly flooded platforms with supportive messages, expressing anticipation for the historic moment.

The excitement extended beyond social media, with ticket demand surging to the point that sales temporarily crashed the official website. .

The game will begin at 7:10 PM PT on August 25 and will be broadcast live on SportsNet LA, giving ARMY worldwide a chance to witness V’s special first pitch.
