Paul Walter Hauser has shared his one complaint about The Fantastic Four: First Steps, despite giving the film a strong review.

The actor, who plays Mole Man, praised Marvel Studios’ latest release but admitted disappointment over a missing scene with Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm.

On his Letterboxd page, Hauser awarded the film three and a half stars and wrote, "I love the score, the production design, the performances."

The scene in question involved an interaction between Sue Storm and Mole Man early in the film. Kirby later revealed details of the sequence in an interview with Collider.

"I had a scene with Mole Man ... in the very beginning of the movie, Sue goes and kinda kicks back and has a drink with him. Well, she can't because she's pregnant, he pours her water and she wishes it was whiskey, and ah ... I just loved it. It was so fun to shoot," she said.

Kirby added, "We went into the mines, all the way up to the north of England to shoot it. It just represented Sue's working life and the fact that she interacts with all these supervillains, and is easy with them. It's more, she's emotionally in tune with them, and I loved that, but [there] wasn't time."

While the scene was cut for pacing, Mole Man still plays a pivotal role in the third act. Fans may eventually see the deleted sequence included in a Blu-ray release.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is now playing in cinemas.
