Women on Wheels, traffic police promote law compliance

Traffic Police, in collaboration with Women on Wheels Pakistan, organised a special awareness seminar aimed at educating women about traffic laws, the newly introduced e-ticketing and faceless ticketing systems.

The event was attended by Sindh Minister for Women Development Shahina Sher Ali, DIG Traffic Karachi, Women on Wheels founder and organiser Mehreen Mushtaq Qazi, Ali Suhag, head of Sindh Police's Accident Analysis & Research Centre, along with a large number of women participants.

During the seminar, women were briefed on traffic laws, newly implemented regulations, and essential principles of safe driving. Guidance was also provided on building self-confidence, improving driving skills, and adopting responsible behaviour on the road. Additionally, participants were informed about the procedure for obtaining a driving licence and the modern measures introduced to make the process more accessible.

Speakers emphasised that responsible and law-abiding citizens, particularly women drivers, can play a vital role in improving the city's traffic system.

At the conclusion of the event, Highway Code books and helmets were distributed among women drivers, while commemorative shields and traditional Ajraks were presented to DIG Traffic Karachi and other guests.
