PESHAWAR:

Initial investigations into the crash of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government's MI-17 helicopter in Mohmand district have revealed that the aircraft went down due to dense fog and bad weather conditions in Pindiali tehsil, officials confirmed on Saturday.

A special federal investigative team visited the remote, mountainous crash site, located at an altitude of 7,500 to 8,000 feet, as part of efforts to determine the cause of the disaster.

According to Express News, the Air Safety Investigation Board team travelled three hours to reach the spot and used drone cameras in a bid to recover the helicopter's black box and other key evidence.
