52 cattle killed by lightning

With heavy rain lashing parts of the district, 52 livestock died, in three separate incidents, after being struck by lightning.

Near the village of Shahmeer Vekiya in Islamkot Tehsil, lightning struck and killed 50 goats belonging to Jafar and Saeendad Vekiyo. Similarly, in the village of Tagusar in Nagarparkar Tehsil, a camel belonging to Ghulam Ali died after being burned by lightning, while a cow owned by Muhammad Lanjo was killed in the Lanja Colony of Islamkot City.

Locals urged govt to installation of earthing rods, across the district, to help prevent both human and financial losses.
