‘The Boys’ prequel ‘Vought Rising’ unveils first look at Soldier Boy and new superhero costumes

Amazon Prime Video has released the first official look at Vought Rising, the upcoming prequel to The Boys, revealing the supersuits of key characters.

The images feature Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, Mason Dye as Bombsight, Will Hochman as Torpedo, and Elizabeth Posey as Private Angel.

Alongside Ackles, Dye, Hochman, and Posey, Aya Cash returns as Stormfront. The cast also includes Jorden Myrie, Nicolò Pasetti, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith. Production on the series is currently underway.

Vought Rising was ordered by Prime Video in July 2024 and is described as a “twisted murder mystery” set in the 1950s.

Paul Grellong serves as showrunner and executive producer, joined by The Boys creator Eric Kripke.

Ackles and Cash are also on the producing team that includes Seth Rogen as an executive producer.

The release of Vought Rising comes as Prime Video wraps production on the fifth and final season of The Boys, which has become one of the platform’s flagship hits.

The growing franchise also includes the college-set spinoff Gen V and the animated anthology The Boys Presents: Diabolical.

The premiere date for Vought Rising has yet to be announced.
