Three killed after escape from custody

Three robbers suspected of being involved in more than 150 murders, robberies were killed in an alleged encounter with Crime Control Department (CCD) personnel.
The men killed in the incident had escaped from police custody two days ago.
The police shifted the bodies to a hospital and formed teams to arrest their accomplices.
According to the police, CCD District Officer Malik Tariq had arrested the three suspects who had escaped from police custody.
A police team had set up a roadblock on Abbaspur Road in the airport area after receiving information about the presence of the suspects in the area.
The police said they signaled to stop 10 armed suspects on motorcycles, who opened fire on the CCD team and fled.
After a chase, the CCD team surrounded the suspects on Malanpur Road, where the team found Akhtar, Qasim and Farid Abbas lying injured. They were arrested and shifted to a hospital, while their accomplices fled.
All three injured men succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.
The police shifted the bodies to the Allied Hospital mortuary unit, cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to find the accomplices of the deceased.
Airport police registered a case against the dead and escaped suspects under legal sections related to murder, attempted murder, police encounter and illegal weapons.
