Case worth tens of millions of rupees against officials Faisalabad Development Authority, connection to housing scheme

DIJKOT:

An embezzlement case worth tens of millions of rupees has been registered against officials of the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) in connection with a housing scheme.

According to sources, a citizen, Malik Ameen, lodged a complaint alleging that the officials had illegally approved a graveyard, grid station, and square in violation of regulations.

The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) launched an inquiry, and upon finding the officials at fault, registered a case and initiated proceedings.

The role of the developer and officials from the revenue department in the case will be determined during the investigation.

The case involves the alleged illegal allotment of land, other unlawful actions, and abuse of authority.

Meanwhile, in the Gatti area of Millat Town, three suspects allegedly distracted a man named Luqman before taking his cash and mobile phone.

In Bawa Chak, a swindler identified as Asad allegedly tricked Saleem into parting with his motorcycle.
