Everything known about the music video Taylor Swift filmed in LA for 'The Life of a Showgirl'

The video reportedly features backup dancers and vintage-themed costumes styled whose clients include Dolly Parton.

Last month, reports claimed thatTaylor Swift had secretly filmed a new music video in Los Angeles ahead of the release of her 12th studio album. Since the pop star officially announced and revealed the album titled The Life of a Showgirl yesterday, new details have emerged about the music video.

Sources told The US Sun the shoot involved long hours, multiple late nights, and several days of filming. The production featured backup dancers who have worked with Swift for years, as well as vintage-themed costumes styled by a team that collaborated with a well-known Los Angeles costume company whose clients include Dolly Parton.

Although crew members were not allowed to hear the full track, they described a “pop beat” believed to be from the forthcoming album. Swift’s long-time stylist, Joseph Cassell Falconer, is said to be involved, recently hinting at a burlesque and showgirl theme on Instagram.

Social media posts from fans and industry insiders suggest filming took place on sound stages in Los Angeles. One Disney employee claimed the stages were unavailable due to Swift’s production.

The Life of a Showgirl announcement follows Swift’s recent acquisition of her back catalogue from Shamrock Capital in a deal reportedly worth hundreds of millions of dollars. The album is now available for pre-order, although an official release date has not been confirmed.

Fans expect more information to revealed during Jason and Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast episode which features Swift as a guest and will air on August 13 at 7pm ET.
