Train crushes two children to death

RAWALPINDI:

Two children, including a girl, were killed, while another female child suffered injuries after they were struck by a moving train in Budho village in Taxila on Wednesday.

The victims were playing near the railway track at the time of the incident. Four-year-old Lubaba died at the scene, and her four-year-old male cousin, Rehan, succumbed to his wounds on the way to Rawalpindi District Headquarters Hospital.

Khadija, a five-year-old, was severely injured. Rescue 1122 transported the deceased and the injured to the hospital, and Wah Cantt police collected evidence from the scene.

According to details, the tragic accident occurred in Budho village, Taxila, where three children were playing near the railway track.

The two sisters, Lubaba and Khadija, had travelled with their parents from Swabi to visit their uncle, Rahim Zaman, in Budho village. The two sisters and their cousin, Rehan, were playing near the railway track when the accident occurred. Wah Cantt police have begun an investigation.
