A gas leakage caused a fire in a house in Himatpura area, leaving six members of a family, including two children, with severe burns.

The blaze also reduced household items to ashes. Rescue teams shifted the injured to a hospital, where their condition was reported to be critical.

According to sources, the family had been in Lahore and returned home at night. During their absence, gas had leaked and filled the house. Upon opening the door and switching on a light, sparks ignited the accumulated gas, triggering the blaze. The fire left 53-year-old Zunaira with burns to her face and arms (25%), 22-year-old Jazeem (20%), 30-year-old Usman (16%), 31-year-old Sidra with burns to her face, arms, and legs (30%), two-year-old Arsham with burns to his face and arms (10%), and one-year-old Zareen (10%).

The fire spread to almost half of the 2.5-marla house, destroying furniture and other household goods. Rescue teams managed to extinguish the fire and provided first aid before moving the injured to the hospital.
