Fox News Channel host Greg Gutfeld will appear on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday.
Speaking on Gutfeld! last week, Gutfeld described the appearance as “the biggest crossover since the Harlem Globetrotters visited The Golden Girls.”
He added that he will be sharing the episode with the Jonas Brothers, joking that he was “one of the original members until they booted me out for being too hot.”
Gutfeld also commented on Fallon’s approach to late-night television, saying that “unlike the other guys” Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert, Fallon “doesn’t reside in a liberal echo chamber.”
He added that appearing together showed Fallon was “not afraid of upsetting his peers or afraid of my mesmerising charm.”
Reflecting on Fallon’s 2016 interview with Donald Trump, in which Fallon famously mussed Trump’s hair, Gutfeld said, “If he wants to run his fingers through my hair, I will not complain. After all, the last time he did that, the guy became president.”
Gutfeld! is currently the most-watched late-night television programme in the United States, regularly attracting larger audiences than competing shows on NBC, CBS and ABC.
Gutfeld also co-hosts The Five with Dana Perino, Jesse Watters, Jessica Tarlov and Harold Ford Jr., which was the most-watched cable news programme in America in July.
Thursday’s Tonight Show will also feature performances and appearances from the Jonas Brothers and Good Charlotte. The episode airs at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC and will be available to stream after broadcast.
