JD Vance responds to South Park satire as Trump administration mocked in animated episode

The episode, the second of the animated show's 27th season, did not hold back in mocking key members of Trump’s inner circle, including Vance. In one scene, a miniaturized version of the vice president is shown attending to Trump, who lies in bed with Satan. “Would you like me to apply the baby oil to Satan’s a**hole, boss?” the character asks.

The episode also parodied Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, referencing her past admission that she shot her own dog. Noem appears in an ICE training video declaring, “Sometimes doing what’s important means doing what’s hard,” before shooting several dogs on-screen. Meanwhile, Mr. Mackey—laid off from South Park Elementary—is recruited into ICE for its salary benefits, ultimately earning recognition from Trump and an invitation to Mar-a-Lago.

Cartman features as a conspiracy-driven podcaster parodying right-wing media personalities like Charlie Kirk, further satirizing conservative media culture.

Earlier in the week, the Department of Homeland Security posted a teaser image from South Park featuring ICE agents, using it to promote recruitment. The show's official account replied sarcastically, “Wait, so we ARE relevant?” with the hashtag “#eatabagofd***s,” referencing a prior White House statement claiming the show was “hanging on by a thread” and no longer culturally significant.

Trump campaign alum Matt Mowers called Vance’s appearance “a key life milestone appreciated by any millennial,” while former Biden staffer Megan Bates-Apper quipped that Vance was “definitely not mad and totally in on the joke.”
