Man who beheaded victims remanded for two weeks

Badruddin confessed to killing three men, remains of whom were found in Pakistan Bazar and Orangi Town police limits.

An alleged target killer who dismembered and beheaded his victims was remanded in the custody of the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) till October 2 on Monday.


The SIU arrested Badruddin on Sunday. After interrogating him, the police found a torso buried in a hill. He also led the police to a torture cell in a house’s basement.


Badruddin confessed to killing three men, the remains of whom were found in Pakistan Bazar and Orangi Town police limits.

Badruddin also gave up the names of his accomplices, Arshad Jamil, Salim Sheikh, Asif Mistri, Kamran Mechanic, Imran alias Maindak (Frog), Haider Qasba Colony Wallah, Munna Murghiwala, Waseem Kala 4-K Wallah, Ilyas Bhaya Khajji Ground Wallah and Nadeem Landhi Wallah.

Badruddin was taken to court amid strict security and, after four hours, the SIU brought him before the Anti-Terrorism Court, Karachi division, Administrative Judge (AJ) seeking a 14-day remand. The AJ granted the request and placed Badruddin in the SIU’s custody till October 2.
