Encroachments were removed from the busy locality of Ghanta Ghar on the orders of the municipal administration on Monday, leading to a clash between officials and shopkeepers.
Protesting traders blocked the road and burnt tyres in a bid to stop the officials from removing their stalls. However on orders of Sukkur DCO Inamullah Dhareejo, the operation was carried out. A representative of the traders said they have been targeted and no one was encroaching.
