Spider-Man soared through the air on Glasgow’s Bothwell Street, captivating onlookers as part of a high-energy action sequence filmed for the upcoming Marvel blockbuster.

Camera crews followed closely as the masked superhero, portrayed by Tom Holland, performed dramatic moves atop a speeding tank flanked by NYPD police cars — all filmed in Glasgow, which doubled as New York City for the shoot.

Footage and photos captured the moment Spider-Man swung between buildings, with one office worker saying, “It’s not every day you see Spider-Man swinging past your office window.”

The scenes, which included explosions and high-speed chases, left crowds thrilled. The scale of the production drew comparisons to major Hollywood sets, with fans expressing excitement for the film’s release.

The spectacle continued when Holland took a break from filming to interact with fans. He was seen high-fiving a young boy and lifting another child dressed as Spider-Man for a photo.

Lauren Rankin, 30, who recorded the moment on her way to the gym, told The Scottish Sun, “Spider-Man is my favourite superhero. It was lovely to see him take time for the fans.”

Filming for the new Spider-Man movie, titled Brand New Day, began last Friday and will continue for two weeks. Glasgow has been transformed to resemble New York, with signage, police vehicles, and cityscapes adjusted for the film.

The movie marks Holland’s return as the beloved web-slinger, and excitement is already building for what’s expected to be another box-office hit in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
