Denise Richards’ bitter split from Aaron Phypers has taken another chaotic turn, this time involving a dog, a restraining order, and police intervention. On Sunday, August 3, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star allegedly barged into Phypers’ Calabasas home, where he currently lives with his parents and brother, to retrieve one of her dogs. Her surprise appearance set off a chain of events that saw her accused of aggressive behaviour, while she claims her former partner secretly had one of her dogs euthanised.
Richards, 54, holds a restraining order against Phypers, 52, which requires him to remain at least 100 yards from her. According to reports, Phypers left the premises as soon as Richards arrived to avoid breaching the order. What followed, however, sparked serious concern. Sources claim she screamed at his parents to “get out of the house”, pointed fingers in their faces, and allegedly threw mail and swung at Phypers’ brother. Police were called, but no arrests were made, and officials concluded no crime had occurred.
Richards’ lawyer insists she did nothing wrong and that she only entered the home after confirming Phypers was not present. Her attorney claims she went to retrieve her dog after discovering another had been put down without her knowledge, an accusation Phypers called ‘absolutely false.’
In response, Phypers doubled down, accusing Richards of launching a smear campaign and claiming she had previously assaulted him and destroyed his phone. He said he fears for his elderly parents’ safety, especially after her volatile outburst. He also alleged she was involved in multiple affairs during their marriage, which ended when he filed for divorce in July after six years.
With duelling accusations and mounting hostility, this Hollywood divorce continues to unravel in public view.
