Tiffany Haddish has sparked a wave of speculation online following a cryptic Instagram post shared with her friend Jason Lee on August 3.

The post, captioned “Cats out the bag ,” features the 45-year-old comedian cradling a baby while Lee stands beside her, one hand on a stroller and the other around Haddish.

The post quickly prompted confusion, with actress Tasha Smith commenting, “What does this mean.”

Some fans speculated whether Haddish had become a mother. Makeup artist Rolexis Schinsing jokingly claimed to be the child’s godmother, further fuelling the chatter.

However, clarification emerged when Lee later revealed that the baby is not Haddish’s, but Major — the six-month-old grandson of his cousin Natasha “Tasha” Brown. Lee praised Brown for inspiring youth at a Stockton cheer squad event, where Haddish also appeared.

Haddish has spoken openly about her fertility journey, including struggles with endometriosis and multiple miscarriages, most recently in a 2024 interview with People.
