Pamela Anderson has responded to claims that Meghan Markle’s new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, copies the concept of her own cooking show, Pamela’s Cooking with Love. During her August 4 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen asked Anderson how much she thought Markle’s series was a “rip-off,” on a scale of 1 to 10.

Anderson, 58, dismissed the idea, answering, “One. I didn’t really look, but I mean, I didn’t invent cooking shows.” She added that the Duchess of Sussex is “just doing her thing.”

Speculation of overlap began when Markle’s series trailer dropped in early 2025, just three months after Anderson’s teaser premiered in October 2024. Fans quickly noted visual and thematic similarities between the two shows — including the garden-to-kitchen aesthetic, lifestyle tone, and nearly identical taglines. Both series feature their hosts cooking in rustic kitchens, harvesting fresh produce, and inviting guests to collaborate on recipes.

In Markle’s trailer, she says, “I’ve always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it,” which closely echoes Anderson’s line, “I just have always wanted to take things to another level.”

Despite the comparisons, Anderson appears unfazed. However, her show’s co-creator and executive producer Jesse Fawcett commented on the timing in a statement to the Daily Mail shortly before Markle’s show premiered. “We take pride in planting the first seeds — creating original, distinctive programming that audiences love — and it’s a compliment to see our work with Ms. Anderson resonate so strongly,” he said.

While Markle has not commented publicly, her show is now streaming on Netflix. Anderson’s Pamela’s Cooking with Love is available on Amazon Prime.
