Fan passes away after fall during Oasis reunion concert at Wembley Stadium
A man in his 40s tragically died after falling from the upper tier of Wembley Stadium during an Oasis reunion concert on August 2, 2025, the Metropolitan Police confirmed.
Emergency crews responded around 10:19 pm BST, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene after being found with injuries consistent with a fall from height.
Witnesses described a horrifying moment: some initially mistook the falling figure for a coat before realizing the severity of the situation.
Several fans noted the upper stands were steep and slippery, reportedly due to spilled drinks, raising concerns over venue safety.
In response, Oasis issued a statement saying they were "shocked and saddened" by the tragic incident and extended their "sincere condolences to the family and friends" of the deceased.
The band dedicated the song “Live Forever” during their performance the following night in tribute.
Wembley Stadium officials confirmed that medics, London Ambulance Service, and police attended to the individual immediately. They added that the victim's family is being supported by specially trained officers.
Authorities encourage anyone who may have witnessed the incident or captured video to contact the Metropolitan Police via 101. The case is expected to be referred to the Health and Safety Executive.
The concert was part of Oasis’s Live ’25 reunion tour, marking the brothers' first London shows together in 16 years.
Following their set, they will continue performances in Edinburgh, Ireland, North America, and return to Wembley in September.
