BTS to record unreleased Michael Jackson track for 2026 tribute album produced by Rodney Jerkins

BTS will contribute to a forthcoming Michael Jackson tribute album by recording one of the late artist’s previously unreleased songs, according to an official announcement shared by Big Hit Music on Instagram early Monday morning.

The tribute project, scheduled for release in 2026, features songs Jackson created while in Ireland in 2006.

“As a tribute to Michael Jackson, the album brings to life the songs he worked on during his time in Ireland. Work began last year, and BTS has already recorded one of the songs,” the statement said.

The album is being produced by Rodney Jerkins, who notably worked with Jackson on his 2001 album Invincible. While the title and sound of the BTS-recorded track remain under wraps, the collaboration has already drawn significant attention from fans of both global icons.

In addition to the album, the unreleased BTS track is expected to appear in the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, Michael, set for release in cinemas in April 2026. The film and album together aim to celebrate Jackson’s legacy through new interpretations of his lesser-known work.

BTS, known for their global impact and wide-ranging collaborations, continue to explore cross-genre projects as they return from their temporary group hiatus.
