Widowed Filipina shot, injured over property dispute

A 55-year-old Filipina was injured in a shooting incident inside a house near Kala Board, Malir 15, on Saturday. The victim was rushed to a hospital for medical attention, and was identified as Delia Nasir, a foreign national from the Philippines.

SSP Korangi, Tariq Nawaz, confirmed that the assailant, identified as Danish, is Delia's brother-in-law. Allegedly, he opened fire during an altercation over a property dispute, injuring Delia, and fleeing the scene. Reportedly, following the death of Delia's husband, Nasir, a dispute over family property had been ongoing between Delia and Danish. On the day of the incident, however, the dispute escalated, culminating in the shooting.

Police officials reported that a manhunt for the absconding assailant has been initiated, and that evidence has been collected from the crime scene, with action to follow.
