
A man drowned in the River Indus near Dandai, Shangla, adding to the ongoing tragedy in the region. Rescue operations continue but face severe challenges due to the river's strong currents between Dandai and Deedal Kamach.
Rescue teams from Shangla and Torghar districts are now in their third day of searching for two girls who went missing after falling into the river near Kamach Nusrat Khel. The girls were fetching water from a spring along the riverbank when they slipped and fell into the river. One of the three girls was rescued by locals at the time of the incident.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident last night, a man also drowned in the river near Dandai. Despite efforts by rescue workers and locals, his body has yet to be recovered.
Both tragedies have left the community in deep distress as rescue teams persist in their efforts against the forceful waters of the Indus.
