Tory Lanez has been ordered by a Florida federal judge to pay Megan Thee Stallion’s legal fees after a disruptive deposition tied to her defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz.
The April 9 deposition, conducted via Zoom from prison, reportedly saw Lanez insult and mock Megan's legal counsel, interrupt questions, and refuse to answer basic inquiries—prompting the court to issue sanctions.
According to court documents and reports from AllHipHop, Lanez failed to respond by an April 30 deadline to explain why he shouldn’t be held in contempt. As a result, he must now cover attorney costs from the initial round of questioning. The court has also ruled that a magistrate judge will supervise any future depositions to ensure appropriate conduct. Megan’s legal team is additionally pushing for a special master to oversee further testimony—also at Lanez’s expense.
This latest ruling stems from Megan’s defamation case against Milagro Gramz, whom she accused of spreading false claims about her mental health, substance use, and more, allegedly with help from Lanez and his father.
Notably, Gramz was also previously ordered to pay $5,000 in legal fees for delaying access to her social media accounts during forensic analysis, further bolstering Megan's case.
This development marks another chapter in the ongoing legal fallout from the 2020 shooting incident involving Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez, adding to the rapper’s mounting legal troubles.
