A Quiet Place Part III sets July 2027 release with John Krasinski returning as director

John Krasinski returns to direct A Quiet Place Part III, set for a July 9, 2027 release by Paramount Pictures.

John Krasinski is officially returning to write, direct, and produce A Quiet Place Part III, which is set to hit theaters on July 9, 2027.

Paramount Pictures announced the release date this week, confirming that the third installment in the blockbuster horror franchise is moving forward with Krasinski at the helm. The film will be produced by Krasinski and Allyson Seeger’s Sunday Night Productions alongside Platinum Dunes.

Casting for A Quiet Place Part III has not been confirmed. It’s unclear if original stars Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, or Millicent Simmonds will return, especially given major character developments in earlier installments. While plot details are under wraps, it’s expected the film will continue the tense, sound-sensitive survival narrative that has defined the franchise.

The Quiet Place series has been a major success for Paramount, grossing over $900 million worldwide. Krasinski directed the first two films, while Michael Sarnoski directed the 2024 spin-off, A Quiet Place: Day One.

Krasinski, who rose to fame on NBC’s The Office, has since become a prominent filmmaker. His other directing efforts include the family fantasy film IF and Apple’s Fountain of Youth, where he starred opposite Natalie Portman. He announced his return to the Quiet Place universe via Instagram, shortly before Paramount’s expected merger with Skydance is finalized.

Fans of the franchise can expect more eerie silence and suspenseful storytelling when A Quiet Place Part III arrives in summer 2027.
