Megan Thee Stallion seeks sanctions against Tory Lanez for ignoring court order over disruptive deposition behavior.

Megan Thee Stallion is asking a Florida federal court to sanction Tory Lanez after he failed to explain his erratic behavior during an April 2025 deposition related to her defamation lawsuit.

Lanez, currently serving a 10-year sentence in California for the 2020 shooting of Megan, was ordered on April 17 to justify his actions during a court-ordered Zoom deposition. Megan’s legal team alleges that Lanez mocked the process, interrupted questioning, and insulted her attorney, Mari Henderson. Despite being served with the order, Lanez did not respond by the April 30 deadline.

Megan’s attorneys are now requesting court-imposed sanctions. They’re asking for Lanez to cover all related legal fees and for the appointment of a special master—paid for by Lanez—to supervise any future testimony. If denied, they’ve requested a hearing at the earliest opportunity.

The deposition was part of Megan’s $10 million defamation lawsuit against YouTuber Milagro Gramz, who allegedly spread false claims about her mental health and substance use, reportedly in coordination with Lanez and his father.

During the deposition, Lanez made bizarre remarks including, “Your hair is distracting me,” and, “Meat could be a hot dog; meat could be a steak,” when asked basic legal questions.

The deposition ended prematurely due to his refusal to cooperate. Just weeks later, on May 12, Lanez was stabbed 14 times in prison but has since recovered. A hearing date for the contempt motion is still pending.
