FaZe Banks says $50K hate campaign targets him as crypto feud with Adin Ross escalates

FaZe Banks claims people are being paid $50K to spread hate online amid crypto scam fallout and feud with Adin Ross.

FaZe Banks claims he’s the target of a $50,000 online smear campaign—just days after stepping down as CEO of FaZe Clan amid mounting crypto scam allegations tied to Kick streamer Adin Ross.

In a series of Instagram Stories posted on July 29, 2025, Banks alleged that individuals are being paid between $40K and $50K to spread hate against him on social media. “They’re literally paying people to go after me,” he wrote, citing a source close to the social media scene. He didn’t name who was behind the campaign but hinted at coordinated efforts to destroy his reputation.

This follows Banks’ resignation from his CEO role at FaZe Clan, which he announced the day before via X (formerly Twitter). The move came after backlash over the failed MLG meme coin—promoted by Banks and other FaZe members—which spiked and then crashed, prompting accusations of a “rug pull.” A leaked group chat suggested Banks blamed Ross for the token’s collapse, claiming he was used as “exit liquidity.”

Ross later confirmed the leaked messages were real but denied any wrongdoing, stating, “The Banks screenshot is real… but MLG being rugged wasn’t me.”

Banks strongly denied scamming anyone, saying, “I’ve never scammed anyone a day in my life.” He added that the controversy unfairly affects others at FaZe and explained that his online persona makes him an easy target for manipulation. As a result, he announced plans to step away from both the organization and social media.

Now, as the crypto feud with Adin Ross heats up, Banks believes he’s facing a deliberate attempt to destroy his image.Fans continue to debate who’s really behind the drama.

With no official word from FaZe Clan and tensions rising, the online influencer space is watching closely to see how far this digital fallout goes.
