Two people were killed and nine others injured in two separate accidents in Balakot, sparking public protests.
According to rescue sources, the first accident occurred at Shinu Jarid, where a truck driver lost control, causing the vehicle to plunge into the Kunhar River.
The driver, identified as Adnan from Taxila, died on the spot. The second accident took place near Sachan Nadi, close to Paras, when a jeep carrying a family from Kiwai skidded and fell into a ravine. A woman, wife of Masoom Shah, died at the scene, while nine family members sustained injuries.
The injured were rescued and shifted to the Rural Health Centre, Kiwai, but due to the unavailability of doctors, they were referred to hospitals in Balakot and Mansehra.
