Flood-hit families get ownership rights of new houses

Ownership rights of the newly-constructed homes were distributed among flood-affected families during a ceremony, held under the Sindh Peoples Housing Scheme at Rawal House, Rahooki, in Tando Jam. Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon was the chief guest at the event.

The senior minister said, "the Peoples Party believes in public service and providing free homes to 2.1 million flood-hit families is the largest housing scheme not only in Sindh, but the largest scheme in the world."

The senior minister mentioned, a distinctive feature of the scheme is that ownership rights were granted in the names of women to empower them and ensure stability within families. He also mentioned that the govt would install solar panels on the houses of flood victims.
