RHOC Vicki Gunvalson claims she contracted the same parasite as Brandi Glanville

Real Housewives of Orange County alum Vicki Gunvalson says she’s been suffering from the same parasite that has reportedly caused severe health issues — and facial disfigurement — for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville.

Gunvalson made the claims during a recent appearance on Jeff Lewis Live, saying both women became ill while filming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco in January 2023. “Brandi is in so much pain. She’s got a very large parasite,” Gunvalson said, adding she “100 percent” believes Glanville contracted it during the trip. Gunvalson, 63, described how the group became sick while in Morocco, and noted that local buffets were often “covered in flies.” Though she avoided the food, she said it was impossible to escape exposure.

Gunvalson explained she hasn’t felt the same since returning, citing symptoms like bloating, fatigue, and chronic constipation. “I don’t go po--. Like, it’s very hard for me...That’s it,” she said. Gunvalson claims she later learned her gut was “loaded” with parasites and has since been undergoing regular colonics and taking medications like Duralax, Metamucil, and Ivermectin to manage the condition.

Glanville, 52, has been vocal about her own ongoing health struggles. In March, she took to social media to say her face was “melting off” and she was “f***ing miserable.” She claims to have spent over $113,000 on treatments, which haven’t improved her condition. Several doctors have floated theories ranging from parasites to foreign-body reactions to injections.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow has suggested her symptoms may be due to a fungal or bacterial infection, rather than a parasite, and warned that her condition could worsen without effective treatment.

Despite conflicting opinions from medical professionals, both Glanville and Gunvalson remain committed to finding answers and recovering their health. Bravo has not publicly commented on the reported parasite claims.
