Homelander is no longer hiding his agenda, and Season 5 looks like the moment he finally becomes untouchable. In a newly unveiled teaser from the upcoming final season of The Boys, the tyrannical supe is shown addressing an unseen crowd with spine-chilling confidence, declaring that the country is now a "safer, more god-fearing nation." It’s the clearest sign yet that his warped reign is about to turn the U.S. into a superpowered theocracy and there’s no one left to stop him.
The teaser, a violent, frenzied montage of blood-soaked chaos, offered fans a first glimpse at the escalating horror. One sequence reportedly shows a new character projectile vomiting a hairball drenched in blood, while another features what can only be described as a human explosion inside a bathroom stall. But amid the carnage came something more curious, a familiar pair of faces.
Fans of Supernatural were quick to notice Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins, reuniting in a blink-and-miss moment that set fandoms ablaze. Their appearance marks the latest of showrunner Eric Kripke’s reunions, having already brought on Jensen Ackles and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. It's a full-circle moment for long-time fans and a major wink to Kripke’s old universe.
Season 4 ended with Homelander effectively installing himself behind the scenes of the U.S. presidency, rounding up dissenters and crushing opposition under martial law. With former allies turning into enforcers and his cult-like grip tightening, the final season promises an unflinching descent into authoritarian madness.
New faces like Daveed Diggs and Paul Reiser will join returning cast members, as all roads point toward a violent, ideological showdown. And with crossovers from Gen V creeping in, the lines between resistance and indoctrination are blurring fast.
