RAWALPINDI:

The cost of obtaining judicial documents in Rawalpindi's district courts has skyrocketed, following a drastic hike in court fee stamps used for various legal services.

Previously, legal power of attorney stamps cost Rs5 to Rs10, but now stand at Rs100.

Minor civil claims, which required stamps of Rs25 to Rs35, now demand Rs650.

Certified copies of court judgments, once available for Rs40, now cost Rs500.

General legal documents have seen similar increases, with stamp fees jumping from Rs30–40 to Rs400.
