Pluribus: Rhea Seehorn reunites with Vince Gilligan in sci-fi Apple TV+ series

Rhea Seehorn stars in Vince Gilligan’s new Apple TV+ sci-fi drama Pluribus, set to premiere on November 7.

Apple TV+ has revealed the first look at Pluribus, an upcoming sci-fi drama created by Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul mastermind Vince Gilligan.

The genre-bending series marks a much-anticipated reunion between Gilligan and Emmy-nominated actress Rhea Seehorn, who plays the lead in this twisted tale about the perils of happiness.

Pluribus is described as a science fiction series where the world faces an unusual crisis: happiness itself. The official logline teases that “the most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness,” with the tagline, “Happiness is contagious.” The series blends elements of sci-fi, drama, and satire, and has already been renewed for a second season before its debut.

Joining Seehorn in the cast are Karolina Wydra (Sneaky Pete), Carlos-Manuel Vesga (Donde Tú Quieras), Miriam Shor (American Fiction), and Samba Schutte (Our Flag Means Death). The nine-episode first season is produced by Sony Pictures Television, with Gilligan serving as executive producer alongside Gordon Smith, Alison Tatlock, Diane Mercer, Allyce Ozarski, and Jeff Frost.

Seehorn, best known for her role as Kim Wexler in Better Call Saul, received critical acclaim and multiple Emmy nominations. Pluribus marks Gilligan’s first major TV project since ending the Breaking Bad universe with El Camino and Better Call Saul.

Pluribus premieres November 7, 2025, on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes, followed by weekly releases through December 26.
