Conor McGregor’s Dublin pub, The Black Forge Inn, was targeted in a suspected arson attack in the early hours of Friday, July 25, and is now under investigation for criminal damage, according to Gardaí(National Police Force).
Emergency services were called to the licensed premises on Drimnagh Road in Crumlin around 3:00 a.m., where firefighters quickly extinguished a small fire at the front of the building. No injuries were reported. A Garda spokesperson confirmed the scene was preserved for forensic examination, and investigations remain ongoing. Dublin Fire Brigade reported that one fire engine from Dolphin’s Barn responded and used a high-pressure hose reel to contain the blaze.

CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed to identify the individual involved. While the motive remains unclear, investigators are exploring whether the attack was meant to intimidate McGregor or if it’s linked to individuals associated with the pub.
This marks the second time the UFC star’s pub has been targeted. In a 2022 incident, a petrol bomb was thrown at the building but failed to ignite. Following that, McGregor upgraded the venue’s security, including bulletproof windows.
The Black Forge Inn, purchased by McGregor in 2019 for around £2 million, has become a well-known spot in Dublin. Despite the latest attack, the pub continues to operate, with management confirming that no patrons or staff were harmed.
