Veibae shared her reasons for leaving, explaining that in 2023, she was offered a contract she described as “predatory”, stating that VShojo sought over half of her sponsor revenue and over 60% of merchandise sales. “They basically made it seem like they were my employer, and that they’re the reason for my success,” Veibae said, adding that she faced threats of legal action if she spoke publicly.
