Disney+ unveiled the official teaser for “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” Season 2 at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, offering fans a glimpse of major action sequences and beloved new characters.
Creator Rick Riordan announced that the new season will premiere on December 10.
The teaser revealed the first look at Tyson, Percy’s cyclops half-brother, portrayed by Daniel Diemer. The story follows Percy (Walker Scobell), Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries), and Clarisse (Dior Goodjohn) on a journey to the Sea of Monsters to rescue Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and recover the Golden Fleece to save Camp Half-Blood. They face threats from Luke (Charlie Bushnell) and the returning Titan Kronos (Nick Boraine).
Season 2 dives deeper into character arcs. Grover must navigate being captured alone, Annabeth opens up emotionally, and Clarisse’s backstory reveals her traumatic past. Executive producer Jon Steinberg promised more fantasy elements, describing Season 2 as “magic in every direction.”
Highlights include a massive chariot race sequence and behind-the-scenes moments like Simhadri in a wedding dress and Diemer and Scobell recreating Titanic’s iconic pose. Diemer said playing Tyson, a gentle cyclops with emotional depth, was a dream come true.
Season 3 was also teased, with Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie joining as Nico and Bianca di Angelo, children of Hades (Jay Duplass). The show continues to grow its mythological world with new faces and deeper emotional journeys.
Season 1 ended in January 2024, making this return highly anticipated. With enhanced visuals, deeper themes, and new characters, Season 2 aims to take Percy Jackson fans on an even more epic quest.
