Drake has referenced his highly publicised feud with Kendrick Lamar on his new track “Ran to Atlanta”, featuring Future and Molly Santana, as part of his newly released album ICEMAN.

The song marks one of Drake’s clearest lyrical acknowledgements of the rivalry that dominated hip-hop headlines throughout 2024.

The feud began after Kendrick Lamar appeared on Future and Metro Boomin’s track “Like That”, which included direct shots at Drake and J. Cole.

The conflict later escalated through a series of diss tracks, culminating in Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy-winning single “Not Like Us”. Fans have pointed to similarities between Kendrick’s lyric, “You run to Atlanta when you need a check balance”, and Drake’s repeated references to Atlanta throughout “Ran to Atlanta”.

In the chorus, Drake raps, “Atlanta'll tell you 'bout my run, you know what I'm sayin'? Ask Pluto, Bank, or 21, you know what I'm sayin’?”

Future’s appearance on the track has also drawn attention due to his role in the original feud. Despite previously collaborating closely with Drake, Future’s involvement in “Like That” was widely viewed as a turning point in the dispute between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.

The track also features rising artist Molly Santana and forms part of Drake’s broader ICEMAN release, which arrived alongside two additional projects, Maid of Honour and Habibti.

Earlier, reports emerged online that several unreleased Drake songs leaked less than 24 hours before the album’s official release. The tracks, reportedly titled “Supermax”, “3PM In New Orleans” and “1PM In Albany”, circulated online and fuelled speculation about additional material connected to the project.

One leaked song reportedly contained references to Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre and LeBron James, although Drake has not confirmed whether the tracks were intended for the final version of ICEMAN.
