Man held for 'raping' stepdaughter

Police have arrested a man who allegedly raped and blackmailed his stepdaughter.

According to the police, the accused kept blackmailing the girl, saying that if she stayed in a relationship, he would continue her education. The girl filed a case at the Sadiqabad police.

"My mother is married to Irfan Sarwar, who is her second husband. My sister and I live with our stepfather. Five years ago, when I was in ninth grade, my stepfather took me to a colony behind the Rescue 1122 building and allegedly raped me. He also threatened me not to tell anyone and often blackmailed me, saying that if I stayed in the relationship, he would continue my education."

"In May, he allegedly raped me in a house in Sadiqabad, where he would often take me. He would make indecent gestures towards me, and would threaten me that if I told anyone, he would kill me. The stepfather allegedly raped me several times in the colony and the house in Sadiqabad.

According to police sources, the accused is an employee of Benazir Hospital. A case has been registered and the accused has been arrested.
