Pete Davidson has addressed becoming a father for the first time following the pregnancy announcement by his girlfriend, model Elsie Hewitt.

Speaking at the premiere of his new film The Home in New York, the 31-year-old comedian expressed his happiness and shared that comedian Adam Sandler offered insights on preparing for parenthood.

“I’m very lucky and very, very happy,” Davidson told E! News, adding that he feels ready to provide the childhood he did not have. He explained his determination: “I assume you just try to give them what you didn’t have, and what you didn’t like, not do it.”

Davidson also mentioned the input he has received from friends. He said that Sandler, who has two daughters with wife Jackie, shared parenting advice that resonated with him.

“It’s been really nice that everyone’s super excited,” he said, referring to his circle, who encouraged him by saying, “You're going to be great at this. It’s the best thing you’ll ever do in your life.”

On The Tonight Show, Davidson reaffirmed his excitement, calling fatherhood his dream. He added that Hewitt is equally eager and expressed enthusiasm at seeing her take on motherhood. Host Jimmy Fallon remarked that Davidson would make a “fantastic dad,” noting his natural rapport with children.

Davidson and Hewitt began dating in early 2025 and announced their pregnancy last week. Their relationship and baby news follow a series of high-profile personal and professional developments for the comedian, including his return to film with The Home.
