Vtuber Ironmouse leaves VShojo, cites unpaid charity funds and emotional pressure in departure

Ironmouse will continue streaming solo after exiting VShojo over unpaid $515K to charity and emotional pressure.

Vtuber Ironmouse has officially left the talent agency VShojo, citing concerns about unpaid funds owed to both herself and the Immune Deficiency Foundation charity.

In a recent YouTube video, she explained that while she is unable to disclose many details on legal advice, a significant amount of charity funds remain unpaid nearly a year after a fundraising campaign.

Ironmouse, who lives with common variable immunodeficiency (CVID), previously hosted subathons to support the Immune Deficiency Foundation. She confirmed that she and fellow content creator Connor “CDawgVA” Colquhoun raised about $4 million for the organisation, largely through the Tiltify platform.

Her most recent subathon, she said, raised $515,000, but “a year later, VShojo has not paid the charity.”

The Vtuber also claimed that her departure was met with emotional pressure. She stated that VShojo attempted to discourage her decision by suggesting it would negatively impact her friends and the team. Despite this, she emphasised her intent to continue streaming as an independent creator.

All revenue generated from her announcement video, she said, will be donated to the Immune Deficiency Foundation. Additionally, she plans to host another charity live stream for the organisation later this month.

Ironmouse expressed disappointment over the missing funds, noting, “That’s the thing that hurts me the most.” She has received support from fans and fellow Vtubers, with several community members echoing concerns about transparency in charity-related streams.

She concluded her statement by encouraging continued support for the Immune Deficiency Foundation and emphasised that more details would be shared in due course, depending on legal developments.
