Dog the Bounty Hunter’s stepson Gregory Zecca accidentally shoots and kills 13-year-old son in Florida

Police responded to reports of a shooting and confirmed that the case is being treated as an “isolated incident.”

Gregory Zecca, the stepson of Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman, reportedly shot and killed his 13-year-old son Anthony in what has been described as a tragic accident. The incident occurred on Saturday at an apartment in Naples, Florida, according to a statement from local authorities.

Police responded to reports of a shooting around 8 pm and confirmed that the case is being treated as an “isolated incident.” No arrests have been made. Representatives for the Collier County Sheriff’s Office have not issued additional comments as of Sunday.

In a statement to TMZ, Dog and his wife Francie Chapman, who is Zecca’s mother, said, “We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible, tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony.”

Zecca, who works with Dog’s bounty hunting team, is Francie’s son from a previous marriage. She married Dog in 2021 following the deaths of their former spouses. Beth Chapman, Dog’s fifth wife, passed away in 2019.

The news has deeply impacted the Chapman family, with Anthony’s death marking another tragedy for the well-known television personality. Dog the Bounty Hunter is a father of 13 and has experienced personal loss before, including the death of his daughter Barbara and son Zebadiah.

As of now, there has been no public update on whether charges will be filed, and the investigation remains ongoing.
