Two brothers crushed to death by tanker

Two young brothers were killed in a tragic road accident involving a water tanker on Korangi Road in Defence on Sunday.
The victims were identified as 12-year-old Tauseef Shah and 15-year-old Ayan Shah, residents of Korangi. Their 17-year-old cousin Tayyab remained unhurt miraculously.
According to police, the boys were on their way to Sea View on a bike when the accident occurred. Their father, who owns a meat shop in the Kala Pull area near Korangi Road, confirmed in his statement to police that his sons were going to Sea View.
Following the incident, enraged locals torched the water tanker in protest.
Traffic police managed to clear the road after removing the burnt tanker, restoring normal traffic flow.
Ayan and Tauseef were laid to rest in Bagh Korangi Graveyard after funeral prayers in Hamadiya Mosque, Korangi. Thier greiving family said the boys were on their way to pick up meat for a family wedding when the accident occurred.
SHO Defence, Hukumdad, said the driver, Amir, who fled the scene after the accident, has been arrested, along with the tanker owner, Mumtaz. An FIR will be registered after consultation with the victims' family, the SHO confirmed.
